My family knows (and laughs at me) because I not only look at roadkill but I try to identify it and say a little prayer for it as I go down the highway. I have been this way for as long as I can remember. I offer no apologies for my idiosyncrisies.
Since we have been spending a lot of time on the highways and by ways between Pevely and Theodosia, M0 (almost to the Arkansas border) on lots of little roads, country roads and almost roads, I have decided to start my road kill report.
Yesterday, Feb. 27, 2011 between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM I recorded the following roadkill.
3 Squirrels
4 Cats
21 UFA (Unidentifiable Flattened Animals)
2 Fox
3 Dogs
2 Racoons
3 Deer
2 Hawks
1 Groundhog
1 Armadillo
4 dead cars
1 chair
